Scam alert: fake Yahoo message

Below is an email I just received. Its a FAKE from YAHOO and they are trying to get your details. A friend of mind received it last week and just replied it and was then locked out of his account. Furthermore, emails went out to everyone in his address book saying he lost all his money whilst in London and asking ppl to send him 1,500 pounds as emergency assistance. Total scam. Best thing is I have no yahoo account!!!
Take note.

Nice of you to blog this. This kind of spam mails has been going round for quite sometimes. I did receive such mail a few years back and just ignore it.Until today my Yahoo Mail is still working all right.

The best thing before responding to any email is to check the source of the email and the properties of the address. There will be some suspicious clue when we check the properties.

Dear Cikgu,

Very nice of you to add this piece of caution. I will probably add it to the post.

I get these phishing scams frequently. I forward them to Yahoo's abuse team and let them deal with them.
