PKFZ fiasco - why Malaysians so easily believe rumours of BN's wrongdoings

Long long before the Price Waterhouse report on the Port Klang Free Zone fiasco, there were many "rumors" of such happenings which were brushed aside by the Barisan Nasional government. Now the release of the Price Waterhouse report confirmed that such "rumours" are true. Little wonder why we Malaysians so easily believe "rumors" of BN's wrongdoings.

Pakatan Rakyat should be careful about accepting Huan Cheng Guan

Malaysiakini reported that Gerakan vice-president Huan Cheng Guan intends to quit Gerakan to join Pakatan Rakyat in three weeks time together with thousands of supporters. I hope Pakatan Rakyat will be cautious about accepting Huan Cheng Guan and his supporters. This is because the stated reason for the move is Teng Hock Nan (Gerakan Penang Chief) and several state leaders who overlooked Huan's supporters for positions in the constituency committees of the implementation coordination unit (ICU).

My opinion is, it is OK to be a political frog to shift your political allegiance if the reasons are because one support what Pakatan Rakyat are fighting for (no racism, no corruption, etc.), but to change party because one is denied positions in the old party means one is in the political game because of positions and not to serve. We have to be very careful with such politicians because if such frogs don't get positions in Pakatan Rakyat, they may just jump back to their old party.

Public institution used to promote Barisan Nasional's sloganeering

Rais Yatim speaking to civil servants: "The slogan is meant to portray a more inclusive Barisan Nasional (BN) and to win back the support of non-Malays in the wake of the March 8 political Tsunami last year."

This is Barisan Nasional using public institutions to promote Barisan Nasional's sloganeering. There must be some law regarding such misuses. I hope the Pakatan Rakyat's Members of Parliament will bring this matter up in the next sitting of Malaysia Parliament.

Zambry Kadir is a liar?

Well, either that or Najib is not telling the truth. Some time back, when news filtered out that UMNO is going to consult Queen Counsel regarding the power grab in Perak, Zambry denied it (Zambry denies Umno engaging QC:

Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir denied today Umno was seeking the services of a Queen’s Counsel in Britain to break the constitutional deadlock in Perak.

“No one has gone to London and we are not engaging any QCs,” he said

Now Najib has admitted consulting Lord Lester, a Queen Counsel:

Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir denied today Umno was seeking the services of a Queen’s Counsel in Britain to break the constitutional deadlock in Perak.

“No one has gone to London and we are not engaging any QCs,” he said

Extraordinary judges with extraordinary ability

Malaysia has extraordinary judges with extraordinary ability, according to Nizar's counsel Sulaiman Abdullah after 3 judges ruled that Zambry is still the Mentry Besar of Perak and there is no need for a vote of confidence in the Perak State Assembly against Nizar.

Those wrongfully arrested should sue police

Latest regarding the 5 lawyers who were wrongfully arrested for trying to see their clients who were also wrongfully arrested for attending candlelight vigils and for showing support to the arrest of Wong Chin Huat, have been freed. This clearly showed that their arrests were unnecessary and unlawful and they should now proceed to sue the police for wrongful arrests.

Civil disobedience via posters banners

Here is a good idea proposed by a commentator at Malaysiakini. Instead of holding candlelight vigils and getting arrested, why not start a campaign to encourage households especially those in Perak to hang up banners or posters in their homes calling for fresh elections in Perak. Police cannot arrest you for that.

How Barisan Nasional rob Malaysia

From a comment describing how Barang Naik (alluding to BN or Barisan Nasional, literally {prices of) things increase) rape and rob the country:

I think you know how the Barang Naik coalition does business. You were there at NSTP.

Let's use the Bakun Dam as an example of how UMNOputras with the connivance of some Chinamen screw the rakyat.

In 1996 Ting Pek Khiing asked his good friend Mamakthir (now your Emperor) for the rights to build Bakun and transport the power to Mersing via a submarine cable of 560km. Never mind that a cable of this length has never been done before. Never mind that the cable has to be embedded in coral reefs around the Natuna Islands, owned by Indonesia.

Of course the real agenda wasn't about selling electricity; it was about the size of the contract for building the dam. Ting cleared an area the size of Singapore, and sold the timber - even before the EIA was approved. In 1998 with the financial crisis, Ting gave up the project - but the government still compensated him RM800 million for "work done". Work done referred to the clearing of pristine jungle.

So after clearing the jungle, the gomen decided that they should proceed with the project, so they went ahead to resettle the people, the local tribes. Sime Darby took over the project, found it to be unviable, and they too returned the project to the gomen.

Now the gomen has a RM8 billion hole in the ground, and the only way this hole is going to make money is to connect it via submarine cable to peninsular. How much is the cost of the submarine cable now ? US$4 billion for double circuits. Who pays for this money ? TNB - but they can't borrow this amount, so now the money can only be borrowed by JBIC of Japan with the federal government guarantee.

So now the pristine jungle has become a hole in the ground, which has become a RM8 billion dam, and which needs US$4 billion to make it work.

This is the BN gomen that the New Yorker is talking about - idiots that drive the country surely into the ground.

WE ARE NOT STUPID, NOR BLIND.

Najib's power grab

Najib Abdul Razak: "Widely seen as the man who engineered the takeover, he maintains that BN did nothing wrong in claiming control of the Perak state government from the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition coalition on Feb 4."

Nothing wrong? Kidnapping 3 former PR ADUN (Ahli Dewan Undang Negeri) of whom 2 are facing corruption charges and 1 who hankers after better treatment and a Camry car, and enticing them with money is nothing wrong? Think again.

World ignored Najib Abdul Razak?

Najib Abdul Razak became the Prime Minister of Malaysia more than a month ago and only now did Obama issued a congratulatory message. Anifah Aman, the Foreign Minister said perhaps he was too busy. Come to think of it, I don't remember any country issuing congratulatory messages a month ago when Najib became the Prime Minister. Perhaps like many Malaysians, they are not happy that Najib with all his baggages had become the Prime Minister.

Anwar Ibrahim sue Anifah Aman

Anwar Ibrahim will sue Anifah Aman if he does not apologize and withdraw his claim that Anwar offered Anifah a very high position, namely the post of Deputy Prime Minister if he cross over to Pakatan Rakyat from Barisan. This should be the way. Will Najib Abdul Razak dare to sue those who made allegations that Najib has connections to the Altantuya Shariibuu murder and improprieties in the purchase of the submarines?

Anifah Aman is the current Foreign Minister and made the above statement at a joint press conference after meeting with United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington DC.

Dr. Mahathir is not a stateman

Dr. Mahathir said if there is fresh elections in Perak, Pakatan Rakyat will win. Therefore Barisan Nasional (actually UMNO) should not go for snap elections as UMNO will lose. Here is what the rakyat says about this non-stateman former Prime Minister: Go to Dr. M sings a different tune to read it yourself.

Perak fresh election

UMNO at last is giving in to very strong pressure from within and outside BN to hold snap elections in Perak. It seems they have finally decided that their credibility will suffer greatly and will lead to further loss of confidence from the electorate if they continue to cling to power in Perak. This is according to Malaysia Waves

Najib Abdul Razak people's Prime Minister?

Najib Razak said he wants to be known as the "People's Prime Minister" who is people-friendly and can understand the aspirations of the people. He said: "I am with the people, and will be with the people,"

Very simple Najib. The people wants fresh election in Perak. Dissolve the Perak State Assembly.

Negarakuku by Namewee

Video of Namewee singing rap song Negarakuku

It is all about Malaysia's corrupt police (not all), inefficient Government servants (not all), the NEP (New Economic Policy rename Never Ending Policy) and the unfair treatment of the Chinese school students:

Lyrics for rap song Negarakuku by NameWee

Negara Ku
Negarakuku
Negara Ku
Negarakuku
Negara Ku
Negarakuku

I love my country
Only when there is country, there is my home
Only when there is my home, there is me standing right here
Singing this song for you loudly, don't you be afraid
Although I always have vulgar words in my song
But my songs are just like durians, with horns
Only if you dare to open it, to see the real truth inside
It could be smell like shit, or smell damn good
Depends on what type of nares (nostril or nose) you have
Our police has another name - MATA
Because their eyes are very sharp
When new year is near, they seem to be very hardworking
They will take out the pens, but they don't open ticket to you
Because they are too thirsty and they have to drink tea
And also black coffee, want some sugar?
If added more sugar, they'd smile more happily to you
They'd even say tata to you when you're about to leave

Negara Ku
Tanah tumpahnya darahku
Rakyat hidup
Bersatu dan maju

This kind of phenomenon, no need to be improved
There is no need to improve cooperation between police and citizens
Relationship wouldn't change for one cup of coffee
I like it so much
At least I won't get fine ticket when I get home
If so, my father must get mad at me
I must be cursed, no car for me
Damn it, what can I do this time?
How can I look for fun without a car?
How can I make out (sex) without a car?
How can I look for transexual without a car?
This country I like this country so much
In the early morning 5 o'clock
There is morning call to wake me up
Sometimes a few sing together
Just like singing a love song
Sometimes the voice get twisted just like R&B style
Although sometimes they sing out of key
Or sometimes they even sing until throated
Some of their voice sound like cock, but they are earlier than a cock
Only like this, we'd be awaken to go to school or work
Please don't blame the government only taking care of bumiputras
Please don't blame the government for not being fair to us
Only this shows that our Chinese are not afraid of working hard
Only this leads us to find our own way out
Don't be surprised by their judgement
Only this shows that we are outstanding
Only those kids that are not spoilt knows what is independent
If not you see some other people still need a babysitter

Rahmat bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita
Selamat bertakhta
Rahmat bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita
Selamat bertakhta

Those people inside the government department, they're even more brilliant
Whatever things they're doing, they can do it slowly
Even if those people who is queueing up going to yell at them
They still feel as free as they like
Sometimes even bring out their own cakes
They eat their nyonya cake, you all continue to queue
Even if you really yell at them
It would still be OK cos the security guard is sleeping beside and he won't care about you
They wrapped up their heads, crossing the road slowly
You have to let them cross and be careful when you're driving
Most importantly to live happily to live comfortably
Don't be like the Chinese, everyday busy and so damn tiring
We really admire this kind of attitude
This is their style, their way of living
Attitude attitude
I keep on saying the good words in this song
I believe those people that hate me must be happy now
The world is very peaceful, the world is full of hope
No one is injured everything is in order
If you are so noble, you are so gentle
The shit smell sooo good, no vulgar words
You all are so high class, everyday enjoying romance
Listen to GuangLiang PinGuan (Malaysia famous singers)
But they have flew to Taiwan
Those Chinese school students, after graduated
It is so damn hard to get into local U(niversity)
Actually we don't have to be provoked by them
Because this is one of the government biggest plan
They want us to go overseas to pursue our own dreams
The come back to contribute to our country
This plan is really sooo good that I have no words to say
Every corner of the world now can find Malaysia's kids around
Just like we're escaping from somewhere, so shiok
Malaysia is promoting Tourism 2007
Chinese heritage is being shown everywhere
But government don't even care about Chinese school students
All of our certificates are thrown into the drains
Just like me, I go to Taiwan after graduated
I've learned something and prepare to go back and contribute to my country
I'm now standing on a roadside of Taipei, with my own guitar
But in my mouth, I am still singing

Rahmat bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita
Selamat bertakhta

Najib arrested under sedition act

Breaking news: Najib Abdul Razak arrested under the sedition act because he made a statement that the dissolving of the Perak State Assembly is wholely up to Sultan Azlan. The Malaysian Royal Police treated that as an incitement to stir hatred against the Perak Monarchy and thus is sedition.

Sigh. If only that is true. Unfortunately, it is only a joke.

Abolish Astro monopoly satellite TV

Let us hope that Pakatan Rakyat gains Federal power soon and consider removing the monopoly ASTRO (controlled by Ananda Krisnan) has over satellite television. The compelling reason is Malaysians are forced to use a lesser quality satellite TV which goes blank during rain. The email forward I received which I reproduce below will tell you why ASTRO must have their monopoly scrapped:

My friends,

This is an explanation on why our Astro channels go blank during rain, written by an engineer friend.

BH

In Malaysia, the Asshole (a.k.a. Astro) arranged for the govt to ban all large satellite discs for public use before the Asshole launch their satellite TV service. All other countries allow large antenna of more than 1.0m that you can receive from any channel in the world. With the small <1.0m antenna that we are allowed to use we can only receive satellite broadcast from the Asshole and pay every month to line some people’s fat pockets.

When we are only allowed to install the miniature antenna we cannot receive other satellite broadcasts other than the Asshole's channels and must use their decoders.

This scheme is deliberate, and when they use such small discs the frequency they use is much higher..

Satellite transmission has many bands ranging from C , X, Ku, K, and Ka bands. And the frequency increases from around 4GHz (uplink higher frequency) and downlink lower frequency, 6GHz, 8Ghz, 14Ghz, 15Ghz and 30Ghz respectively.

The C bands used by most geosynchronous satellites for communication is most resistant to rain attenuation while the higher frequency bands like Ku and above suffer easily 5 times more signal attenuation during rain. You can overcome this by having higher power and gain in the antenna, but the very purpose of Asshole using the miniature antenna (larger antenna are banned and illegal in Malaysia and no other country did this) is to restrict the gain and make sure that everyone can only receive the Asshole's channels and not the other channels that other countries nearby can receive.

So the trade off in Malaysia is we cannot receive satellite TV transmission from other channels other than Asshole's channels (due to small disc with low gain) and suffers greatly when it rains.

It is very profitable for the Asshole as we can only receive Assholes channels (they can have high power transmission from the satellite) since the gain from the disc will not be good enough to pick up signals from other channels other than Asshole's transmission. They encrypted their transmission, if you are not a paying subscriber you cannot receive the transmission. When it rains, the attenuation will cause the screen to go blank due to poor signal strength as the gain of the antenna is too low and you see nothing.

All Malaysians have suffered this loss of access to free satellite TV the day Ananda Krishnan got his licence to start Asshole TV when large TV discs were banned in Malaysia (except for commercial applications).

So my conclusion is Asshole did not choose the wrong satellite band, they choose the band deliberately to make sure that they can get maximum profit and service (or rather poor service) is not part of their equation.

Raymond Tan Shu Kiah Sabah Deputy CM

Great news. Raymond Tan Shu Kiah the no balls former Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah is no longer Deputy Chief Minister. He had been replaced by the State Youth and Sports Minister Peter Pang.

Prostitute Jelapang armed pepper spray

The Perak State Assemblydonkey (I don't want to call her Assemblywoman) Hee Yit Foong whom many called the Prostitute of Jelapang probably knows she is very unpopular not only in Perak but throughout Malaysia and fearing attacks. She is now probably armed with pepper spray for self defence and I wouldn't be surprised if the corrupt and unprincipled BN had given her firearms too.

Hee Yit Foong is a lying frog

Hee Yit Foong is not only a frog whom some said switched from being a Perak DAP State Assemblywoman to become a so called BN friendly Independent, she has now been proofed to be a liar. When reports came out that she pointed a pepper spray canister at DAP Perak State Assemblyman Yew Tian Hoe, she denied it, saying it is not a pepper spray cannister but a hotel key (lie number 1).

When photos surfaced showing clearly liar Hee Yit Foong pointing what seemed clearly to be a pepper spray canister (see photo below), she changed her story to say that the pepper spray is not hers and that she does not know how to even operate such a device, and that she had held it up to Aulong assemblyman Yew Tian Hoe to demand if he was the one who had flung it at her (lie number 2).

Here are the photo and a video so you yourself can ascertain that Hee Yit Foong is a liar:

Najib sincerity test - Perak fresh election?

Cakap tak serupa bikin (Action does not correspond with words)

Najib Abdul Razak said he would like to cooperate with Pakatan Rakyat to resolve the Perake impasse. Now more and more individuals and institutions including Suhakam and the Malaysia Bar Council have called for fresh elections to solve the problem once and for all. Will Najib agree to fresh elections? If he does not do it within these few days, you can write off Najib. He is insincere and whatever statements are bullshit.

Update: It is settled. Najib is insincere and we need not pay heed to whatever nice slogans or statements he make. Najib has been reported by Malaysiakini (No snap elections in Perak) that there will be no snap elections in Perak and he is hiding behind the skirt of Zambry by saying he leave matters to Zambry. Not only is Najib insincere, he is a coward by hiding behind a subordinate.

Laskar cinta - Chapter 2

Laskar cinta Chapter 2

Wahai jiwa-jiwa yang tenang
Jangan sekali kali kamu
Mencoba jadi Tuhan
Dengan mengadili dan menghakimi
Bahwasanya kamu menang tak punya
Daya dan upaya serta kekuatan
Untuk menentukan kebenaran yang sejati
Bukankah kita memang
Tercipta laki laki and wanita
Dan menjadi suku suku
bangsa bangsa yang pasti berbeda
Bukankah kita memang harus saling mengenal dan menghormati
Bukan untuk saling bercerai berai
dan berperang angkat senjata

Laskar cinta - Chapter 1

Laska cinta

Wahai Jiwa Jiwa yang tenang
Berhati-hatilah dirimu
Kepada hati-hati yang penuh
dengan kebencian yang dalam
Karena susungguhnya iblis
Ada dan bersemayam
Di hati yang penuh dengan benci
Di hati yang penuh dengan prasangka

Laskar cinta
Sebarkanlah benih-benih cinta
Musnahkanlah virus-virus benci
Virus yang bisa Rusakkan jiwa
Dan busukkan hati

Laskar cinta
Ajarkan ilmu tentang cinta
Karena cinta adalah hakikat
Dan jalan yang tenang
Bagi semua umat manusia

Jika kebencian meracunimu
Kepada manusia lainnya
Maka sesungguhnya iblis
Sudah berkuasa atas dirimu

Maka jangan pernah berharap
Aku akan mengasihi
Menyayangi manusia manusia
Yang penuh benci seperti kamu

Laskar cinta
Sebarkanlah benih-benih cinta
Musnahkanlah virus-virus benci
Virus yang bisa Rusakkan jiwa
Dan busukkan hati

Laskar cinta
Ajarkan ilmu tentang cinta
Karena cinta adalah hakikat
Dan jalan yang tenang
Bagi semua umat manusia

Laskar cinta
Sebarkanlah benih-benih cinta
Musnahkanlah virus-virus benci
Virus yang bisa Rusakkan jiwa
Dan busukkan hati

Laskar cinta
Ajarkan ilmu tentang cinta
Karena cinta adalah hakikat
Dan jalan yang tenang
Bagi semua umat manusia

PKFZ Scandal - time to get really angry

"RM12 billion of public funds is no chicken feed – it could build three Penang Bridges at RM4 billion each, 120 hospitals at RM100 million each, 1,200 schools at RM10 million each or 300,000 low-cost houses at RM40,000 each!": Lim Kit Siang on the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

Hi Malaysians. Look at how Barisan Nasional (BN) squandered your money. RM12 billion is no chicken feed. If the above didn't strike your mind on how big RM12 billion is, here it is in figures:

RM12,000,000,000

It is high time to get angry, really angry at how BN managed our country. It is high time to make up your mind to do something to contribute to the fall of BN from power in our country. Malaysia has been able to prosper despite these huge financial leaks mainly because of oil money. We will become a net importer of oil very soon and if we don't do something about this scandalous situation, our country will face very dire circumstances very soon. Get angry!!! Do something!!!

Next stop Putrajaya - Federal Government (power) essential

Last March 8, we the voters took away the hated BN's (Barisan Nasional) two-third majority in the Parliament and put the opposition (Pakatan Rakyat) in power in 5 states (now reduced to 4 by the illegal power grab in Perak). Next general election we voters have to make sure the thuggish BN lose the election and Federal power. After what happened in Perak where BN with the help of Federal power and control over the civil servants who abetted the illegal power grab, we must ensure Pakatan Rakyat is the next Federal Government so positive changes can come to Malaysia.

Remember this day of infamy

Malaysians. Etch these images into your brain and always remember them. This is UMNO BN thuggery. Show them your middle finger come election time. That will be how we should repay them for robbing us of democracy, of destroying our institutions, for breaking all laws and ignoring the Constitution:
Perak Speaker Sivakumar being manhandled by UMNO thugs
Sivakumar being manhandled by Special Branch thugs
Perak Speaker Sivakumar being dragged out of the State Assembly chamber

Wong Chin Huat BERSIH arrestion sedition charge

1BlackMalaysia: Democracy first, elections now

Wong Chin Huat of Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (BERSIH) was arrested at 8pm today under Section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act 1948.

Earlier Wong Chin Huat had made a press statement asking Malaysians to protest the unconstitutional Perak state government takeover by Barisan Nasional by wearing black on Thursday 7 May 2009.

Here is the video from Malaysiakini of the press conference:
