Baljit Singh, Penang Gerakan state legal and human bureau chief, challenged Pakatan Rakyat that if they really want clean and fair election and want to empower the people, then Pakatan should stand together with Gerakan suggestion to disallow party hopping after elections.
This Baljit Singh who is supposed to be in charge of legal and human matters is talking through his nose. It is UMNO/BN that should stand with Pakatan Rakyat to disallow party hopping after elections. It is UMNO/BN that amended the Constitution so that an MP who wants to hop to another party and want to seek a fresh mandate by resigning and recontest in an election will find it impossible to do so because UMNO/BN had made it necessary for the MP to wait 5 years before he can recontest in an election.
So Baljit Singh, if you are sincere, you should ask your Gerakan leaders to pressure UMNO/BN to remove that Constitutional barrier to require an MP who resign to wait 5 years before recontesting.
If you can do that, you can be sure Pakatan Rakyat will stand with you.

Here is more proof those turncoats in Gerakan and MCA should be voted out
I have written before, about not voting for any Barisan Nasional candidates as long as the BN whip is applied to all issues in the Parliament, for then they would be unable to vote according to merits, to conscience, but forced to vote along party lines. Essentially, they are powerless eunuch there to dress up the Parliament only. (Reject all BN MPs as long as the BN whip is in force all the time.
Here is reinforcement for the arguments that BN component MPs are gutless eunuch. See how the Speaker ordered the coward Koh Tsu Koon not to deviate from what the DPM had said before, essentially telling him to to state that he is a Malaysian first and a Chinese second, and cowardly Koh Tsu Koon meekly complied and beat around the bush, not daring to answer the challenge directly:
Here is what Tony Pua commented: Koh Tsu Koon Unable To Answer If He's "Malaysian First":

Here is what Tony Pua commented: Koh Tsu Koon Unable To Answer If He's "Malaysian First":
The President of Gerakan, a party known to be the "conscience of Barisan Nasional" was put under severe test in parliament last week. He was asked by DAP Parliamentary Opposition leader if he is a "Malaysian first" or a "Chinese first", in relation to the definition set out in the 1Malaysia Government Transformation Programme Roadmap, a project headed by Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon himself.
Unfortunately, what is seemingly a straightforward question appears to be a most difficult one for Koh Tsu Koon as he was warned by the speaker twice from answering something different from what the previous Umno minister, Datuk Seri Nazri had answered in parliament while defending the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who had declared that he was "Malay first, Malaysian second".
Watch the 5 minutes video to see it for yourself.

Gerakan more extravagant than DAP
Gerakan demanded that DAP (Democratic Action Party) which now ruled the state of Penang account for the expenses for their business trip to South Korea. Thanks to Jeff Ooi, they got more than they bargained for. Jeff Ooi provide a comparison between what Gerakan under Koh Tsu Koon spent for a business trip to India in 2007 and what DAP under Lim Guan Eng spent on the trip to South Korea recently:

From the comparison table above, the number of delegates were almost the same at 55 for Gerakan and 53 for DAP while Gerakan went for only 3 days while DAP's trip was 5 days. Note that India is a lower cost of living country as compared with South Korea. The cost of accommodation for the Gerakan trip should be lower. Yet the comparison table showed that Gerakan's accommodation were 4.4 times more expensive.
The flight mileage from Malaysia to Chennai India is 1610 miles or 2591 km. while the flight distance from Malaysia to South Korea is 2565.80 miles or 4130 kilometers. Since India is nearer to Malaysia, the airfares for the business trip by Gerakan should be lower than for the airfares for the business trip by DAP. The comparison showed that Gerakan spent 1.8 times more on airfares than DAP.
Overall, Gerakan spent 2.6 times more for a business trip to a lower cost and nearer country for fewer days. This showed that Gerakan is more than 2 times more extravagant than DAP for a business trip that should have cost less.
