PAS still considering joining government with BN after general election
PAS had frequently been accused of supporting/intention to join UMNO/BN and denied by PAS. But here it is loud and clear that PAS do have intention of doing what it had been accused of doing:

Here it is clearly been reported that Azman Ibrahim, a PAS leader and committee member of the PAS Central Working Committee (Ahli Jawatankuasa Kerja PAS Pusat) stated that PAS would consider cooperating with BN coalition after the 14th General Elections.
Why would PAS, a claimed religious/political party, cooperate with UMNO/BN, a coalition that practices crony capitalism and political culture runs on money. All religions eschew bribery, corruptions and stealing.

Azmin Ali, Zaid Ibrahim and Hulu Selangor by-elecion
Mahathir thinks that Azmin Ali is Prime Minister material but was not chosen. Why was he not chosen? My guess is DAP and Amanah is not comfortable with him as shown the tussles experienced in the Kajang move.
But what do I think of Azmin Ali? Perhaps Azmin Ali has the administer ability as shown by him becoming the Mentri Besar of Selangor. However, I too is not sure of what I really think of him, whether I would be comfortable with him eventually becoming the PM candidate.
Why? Perhaps has the political prowess to move around in political arena. But is he ruthless in this pursue?
I was polling agent for the 25th March 2010 by-election. I remembered meeting up with a group of other polling agents in Bangsar in the early morning of that day to carpool to Kuala Kubu Baru. And this was what happened. On the night before the by-election, we were informed that the voting center where we were supposed to be on duty was changed. Then when we met at Bangsar, there was another changed. Not only that, on the way to Kuala Kubu Baru, we were told of another change. I can't remember if on arrival at Kuala Kubu Baru if there was a fourth change in polling center.
All this was causing confusion. Why were there so many unnecessary changes till we were not sure because of all this confusion, there might be certain places where there might be some polling centers? Were there some sabotage? I can't say for sure but I have suspicions.
There are talks that Azmin Ali was not happy with Zaid Ibrahim in PKR and that he view Zaid as a threat to his position in PKR? Did Azmin Ali and his cohorts worked to sabotage Zaid Ibrahim chances in the Hulu Selangor by-election? I don't have the inside stories but if you have please leave your comments in the comment box below.
By the way, Zaid Ibrahim lost the by-election to P. Kamalanathan (the notorious hand kisser) by a slim margin of 3.6%

Political funding: BN and opposition positions
UMNO/BN is now hammering on the point that it was the opposition parties that opposed disclosure of their funders. And Najib who is currently under a big dark cloud of suspicions, have come out to proclaim that he is prepared to declare UMNO's funders if the opposition is prepared to do likewise?
Malaysia badly needs transparency regarding political funding, but just why are the opposition parties reluctant to do so? To me, it is clear, it is because of the uneven playing field, the fact that practically every institution of importance (Election Commissions, Registra of Societies, Police, the mainstream media, MACC etc) in Malaysia is under a cloud of suspicions that they are not impartial. Not forgetting power abuses such as punishing opposition funders by withholding license, contracts and business whereas UMNO/BN funders would have no worries in this area.
Take the Election Commission and the blatant case of Najib recorded on video his "I help you, you help me" case in Sibu for example. Did the Election Commission do anything? And the blatant use of government facilities for campaigning during elections. That is clearly wrong but the EC just looked the other way.
Whereas because power is currently in UMNO/BN's hands. Business and individuals will not worry about their funding activities revealed as they would never be punished, on the other hand they probably would be rewarded. Not only that, there is a cap on the amount of funds that can be used in campaigning during elections. UMNO/BN could probably exceed it, even opening I think, and the EC would probably not act. For example, when it was revealed that a huge amount of money was banked into Najib's account which Najib did not deny but only said he did not take money for personal use. He probably was trying to say the money was used for political purposes, but did the EC do anything as very likely, the cap on political funding was breached.

The 14th General Election will be UMNO/BN toughest fight
PY Wong of Tindak Malaysia said things in Malaysia will only change when the people begins to suffer. And I agree. As long as people are comfortable, they are not bothered to do anything about the malaise existing in Malaysia. However, when it begins to affect their pocket, that is the time they start to notice lots of things are not how it should be.
And people in Malaysia are beginning to suffer from the subsidy pull back and the slowing economy.
Kajang move: UMNO/BN will throw in everything they have to defeat Anwar Ibrahim
Latest move in the "Kajang move", the by-election in the Kajang state constituency caused by the sudden resignation of Kajang ADUN Lee Chin Cheh: UMNO big wigs already making their rounds in Kajang to woo voters.
My prediction: UMNO/BN will do all in their capacity to defeat Anwar Ibrahim who had been a constant thorn in their rear. Whether they succeed or not is a different question, but this is their best chance of causing embarrasment to Anwar Ibrahim.
However, I hope they don't succeed.

PRU13: Chinese ungrateful? What about Reformasi 1998 and PRU10 1999?
After UMNO/BN lost the popular vote in the Malaysia Thirteen General Election (PRU 13 or PilihanRaya Umum 13), UMNO politicians and media started attacking the Chinese as being ungrateful for backing the Pakatan Rakyat opposition. Even though in truth, instead of it been a Chinese tsunami, it is actually an urban and middle class tsunamin that swung against UMNO/BN.
Is calling Chinese ungrateful justified? Then what about the 1999 Tenth General Election where the Malays swung to vote for the opposition because of disgust at how Anwar Ibrahim was treated and because of Reformasi 1998? If not for Chinese swinging to support UMNO/BN and Mahathir, they would have lost the election then. And now they call Chinese ungrateful. Melayu mudah lupa (Malays forget easily).

BN won unfair victory with less than 50% popular votes
When everyone was so enthusiastic with the unprecedented crowds at Pakatan Rakyat's ceramah's and people were very confident of a PR victory, I had my worries. Worries about the traditional gerrymandering and malapproportionment which ensures that BN can win will less than 50% of the votes. In addition to that, there were worries about the effect of cheating, phantom votes, the buying of votes via BR1M handouts (with public money), crony mega dinners and worries about how those civil service who had helped BN implement very unfair policies and actions, would vote because of fear of retribution.
My worries were increased when, while the majorities were impressive, it was not a landslide majorites when preliminary results in Selangor began trickling in. Thus it was not a surprise when The Malaysian Insider revealed their calculations showed BN won only 5.22 million votes (48.7%) as compared with Pakatan Rakyat which won 5.489 million votes (51.3%) and still won by a simple majority.
Is it payback time for the cronies for helping BN retain a simple majority with public money? Let's hope not.
I am confident without all the gerrymandering, malapproportionment, vote buying, etc., Pakatan Rakyat should have won.

RAHMAN Prophecy and end of BN rule
The RAHMAN Prophecy predicted accurately the series of Prime Ministers to helm Malaysia as Tengku Abdul Rahman, Abdul Razak, Hussein Onn, Mahathir, Abdullah Badawi and finally, Najib.
However, there is more to it. Let's number the alphabets numerically and then add up the numbers to get .....

DAP Rocket has landed on the Moon!!
The move by ROS (Registra of Society) to not recognize the DAP CEC (Central Executive Committee) has the unintended effect of strengthening the cooperation and camaraderie between its component parties, PKR, DAP and PAS.
DAP has decided to use the PAS "moon" logo in Peninsular Malaysia and the PKR "eye" logo in East Malaysia.
So do help us kick out the corrupt and power abusing UMNO/BN from Putrajaya by helping to spread the news that the DAP Rocket has landed on the MOON
Please tell all the voters that where a DAP candidate is contesting, put your X in the box for PAS.

International Fact Finding mission & Malaysia elections
The International Fact Finding Mission in a press conference had scathing remarks about the election system in Malaysia, with one labeling the EC as backward:

International fact finding Mission should comment on EC response
An international fact finding mission invited to Malaysia by Anwar Ibrahim has voiced 3 concerns regarding Malaysia's electoral system.
The team met with EC officials today and Wan Ahmad Wan Omar Wan Ahmad, said the EC clarified on questions raised such as fair media access to political parties, a clean electoral roll, overseas voters and delineation of constituencies.
“Since they have met political parties, it is fair that they come to us to seek clarification.
“We welcome election observers and fact-finding missions from abroad to get correct and accurate information from us.
“As the 13th general election draws closer, definitely many election fact-finding mission delegates and observers from overseas are coming to meet political parties here.
“If they obtain information only from political parties, such information or facts are likely to be biased,” he told Bernama.
“After getting our explanation, I noticed that they (the delegates) have a better understanding of the electoral system and process in the country. Several delegates said they felt that the EC had given an honest explanation,” said Wan Ahmad.

Is that so Wan Ahmad, a better understanding? Perhaps you are right. They understand better how EC had helped UMNO/BN maintain federal power for 50 decades by rigging the elections although Wan Ahmad remarks seemed to be on a positive note which we don't agree with.
In any case, Malaysiakini since they published Wan Ahmad's views should also get a response from the fact finding mission.
The team is made up of delegates from Germany, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Australia, Thailand, South Africa, Turkey, Indonesia and Tunisia.
