The Barisan Nasional federal government messing up Malaysia's governance and finance is now affecting UMMC (Universiti Malaya Medical Center, also called PPUM or Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya) with its annual budget cut by RM120 million from RM387 million to RM267 million.
This is expected to have much negative consequences to the care to patients by the teaching hospital as well as the quality of education to its medical students and housemen. Wonder which institution or service will be hit next.
