Starting tomorrow we have 2 more whole days and 1 and half night to campaign before we vote on 16/4/2011. PR parties are poor because their only source of funds are from their own pockets. On the other hand BN parties have access to unlimited funds.. taxes from us, royalty from our timber, oil gas, the big corporations given large tract of our NCR lands etc...etc..etc. Every where they are giving angpows of up to RM2000.00 per voter. They are handing out MEE SEGERA and getting our nation deeper and deeper into national debt. Right after this election if BN wins I can bet my one month salary that everything from sugar, tea, mee, petrol, diesel etc...etc will go up. They need our money to pay for what they borrowed for all the MEE SEGERA.
Brothers and sisters IF BN win which I doubt very much you will not get a cent from BN/TAIB/UMNO for the next 5 years. So now is the time to receive your RM2000.00. Go and demand the money from them. Approach the person holding their money because after all the person holding the money will try his very best to keep the money for himself. Election money is SAFE money so no one will charge the person holding the money even if he did not distribute a single cent to the voters.

Read his analysis of the political situation in Sarawak in particular and Malaysia in general in his opinion piece reproduced below with kind permission of Malaysiakini. May I also add this comment which is in response to those that feel that their better fortune is due to the largesse of the UMNO/BN and they are grateful. I have this to say - yes be grateful to leaders like Tengku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak, Tun Hussein Onn etc but not to Dr Mahathir, Abdullah Badawi, Najib because it was the wise leadership of the earlier leaders which brought us to where we was and it was the later that destroyed what they had built. No I don't think we should be grateful to Dr Mahathir for what he did to our country crucial institutions especially to the once respected Judiciary, for the decay of the country started with him.
Saving grace for Sarawak? by Josh Hong:
In trying to understand how it lost seven state assembly seats in the 2006 state election and the Sibu parliamentary seat last year, all that the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) could come up with was that the electorate had been hoodwinked by the opposition.
The party is already in strange waters. Once steeped in a leftist tradition buttressed by an ostensibly multiracial platform, SUPP is nowadays nothing more than a Sarawakian answer to the MCA.
Dominant are the Chinese tycoons high up in the party's echelon, who became filthy rich at the expense of the state's natural bounties and resources, not to mention the indigenous communities forced off their native land.
NONEThree decades of uninterrupted rule by Abdul Taib Mahmud - the white-haired Rajah - have ensured his regime prospered, along with the Chinese cronies, with unbridled corruption now paining the general population.
Increasingly under pressure to account for the loss of SUPP influence over Taib Mahmud's uninhibited greed and power, SUPP organising secretary Peter Chin Fah Kui was compelled to declare recently that SUPP had never betrayed Chinese interests in Sarawak.
The protestation of innocence, of course, failed to strike a chord with his Chinese audience. More accurate would be an admission that the SUPP had always safeguarded the interests of the Chinese tycoons, but not those of the ordinary folk.
What is going on now in the Land of the Hornbills is in fact a contagion of the political malaise in the peninsula. For many, the BN has become too corrupt and arrogant. Umno, the lynchpin party, successfully consolidated its power across the state apparatus, while allowing other component parties certain concessions in business and trade.
The same model was readily adopted by Taib Mahmud in the 1980s. By the time the so-called coalition partners realised they existed at the mercy of both Umno and Taib Mahmud, it was already too late to reverse their fortunes.
Despite the political tsunami of March 2008, Umno will not take it lying down. Bereft of ideology and acutely aware of its own economic mismanagement, the longest-ruling party in Southeast Asia knows full well it cannot compete with the opposition alliance on an equal footing.
For the sake of survival, Umno, Taib Mahmud and all those whose political futures are on the line can only resort to racial sentiments and lewd politics.
The argument of racial betrayal comes in handy. For all his pretension on 'transformation', Najib's Umno never refrains from portraying non-Malays and non-Muslims as power-crazy demons.
In Sarawak, Taib Mahmud is going from one place to another warning his Melanau constituents that they must not risk voting in a Christian chief minister - Baru Bian that is.
The reasoning behind is crass and simple: corrupt we may be, we remain your trusted bastards.
The latest 'exposè' of a sex video to implicate Anwar Ibrahim was clearly done with the connivance of some powerful individuals within the government. Or else, how would one explain the seamless arrangement for the 'premiere' to be held at the state-owned Carcosa Seri Negara?
Legal consequences that can't be taken lightly
Any respectable international hotel chain - from Hilton, Mandarin Oriental to JW Marriot - will not permit this to happen, for such an act will tarnish its good name, perhaps beyond rescue. It also entails legal consequences that cannot be taken lightly.
While one can scarcely imagine the Blair House in Washington being used by Democrats to denounce Republicans, Najib Abdul Razak sees no wrong in the once prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara having served as a venue for a despicable screening.
The prime minister may have played no part in the jiggery-pokery, but his failure to condemn the masterminds speaks volumes of his mendacious pledge for reform.
Even the paranoid Chinese government would not toy with having a 'steamy session' at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in order to discredit prominent dissidents. It may try other means, but not by stooping so low. Authoritarianism need not be so tasteless like ours.
Some argue the Malaysian public should ignore the episode and focus on real issues. I agree, but only to a certain extent.
Gutter politics had begun to flourish ever since Dr Mahathir Mohamad framed up all the charges against Anwar in 1998 and subjected the judiciary to executive tutelage.
As Umno goes for the jugular in killing off Anwar's chances of making a final comeback, implications of the incessant character assassinations are far-reaching.
Its message to the Malaysian populace is loud and clear: dare challenge my hegemony and off to jail you go. Just look at what is happening to Anwar.
Scaring citizens on 'divine right' to rule
Yes, it is the psychological impact that Umno is working at. By scaring the citizens into accepting their 'divine right' to rule, Najib, Hishammuddin Hussein, Muhyiddin Yassin, Taib Mahmud and Mukhriz Mahathir can easily carry their 'state monopoly' into posterity.
So can freeloaders like the MCA, Gerakan and the MIC, as well as the SUPP. Oh, not to forget Ibrahim Ali and Bung Moktar Bung Radin, who are not only downright male chauvinists but also epitomes of gutter politics.
For this reason alone, one must continue to speak about the sex video, but with a view to exposing the seeds of deceit sown by Umno and to expunging political fears that remain pervasive in our society.
But we must also not neglect other abuses and excesses of institutional power, the latest being the tragic death of Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed at the Kuala Lumpur MACC office two days ago. As powers are becoming more colluded across the South Chine Sea, Sarawakians and Sabahans are no longer shielded from political catastrophes.
Umno and Taib Mahmud will still deter Malaysians from talking about these issues by all means, while their allies are not in a position to effect real changes, both because the latter are not only politically emasculated, but also because their personal interests are too entrenched.
Hence, voting these crooks out cannot be seen as betrayal, but an act that may turn out to be a saving grace in the years to come.

Alert: Check your voter registered
During a voter registration exercise, a voter who totally have no connection with Johore somehow was found to be registered to vote in Johore. Fortunately this had been discovered before an election had been declare and we assume she would have time to go to the post office to get her polling center changed to the address in her IC (Identity Card).
I am sure you would not want to be surprised on election day to discover that unknown to you, you polling center has been changed to a faraway unreachable place which means you would not be able to vote.

Below is from an email forward from RPK (Raja Petra Kamarudin) this time appealing for both actions as well as donation (second reading reveals RPK said that while he and his gang had been at the forefront, but he now is only appealing for donations in lieu of actions), not for his own fund but for DAP Malaysia/Sarawak for Change:

Sarawak BN jittery over NCR lawyers becoming ADUN
In the recent Sarawak State General Election, Pakatan Rakyat has fielded a few lawyers who had represented natives in their fight for their NCR (Native Customary Rights) lawyers in their fight for land rights for their NCR lands. And if they win, they will then become state represntatives with the right to attend State Assemblies and become even sharper thorns in the side of Sarawak BN (Barisan Nasional but better nicknamed Barisan Neraka for the serious damages they have done to Malaysia).
In the article S'wak BN jumpy over NCR lawyers becoming reps reproduced below with kind permission of Malaysiakini, Keruah Usit explain why and document the various ways the Sarawak Barisan Neraka used their sheer majority in the State Assembly to bulldoze many amendments to facilitate the robbing of the NCR lands from the natives and illustrate how important that the oppositions win sufficient seats to frustrate any further inroads, and prayerfully, despite the odds, they may form the next Sarawak State Government and at the very least, reverse or repair some of the damages:

Sarawak's Barisan Nasional (BN) appears jittery over the prospect of prominent native customary rights (NCR) lawyers Baru Bian, See Chee How, Harrison Ngau Laing and Abun Sui being elected as state assembly representatives on April 16.
The ruling BN is funnelling enormous resources and taking extraordinary measures to try to stop Baru, state PKR leader, from entering the state assembly. Baru Bian reported recently that his constituents had said armed forces personnel working on roads in Ba'kelalan had threatened to tear down local schools if the villagers voted for Baru Bian in the upcoming polls.
Local observers say there is now a surge in the groundswell of support for Baru in Ba'kelalan. BN's alarm is indicated by its unusual step of holding back the name of its candidate to take on the highly respected Lun Bawang PKR lawyer and church leader.
Baru and See are partners in a land rights law firm that has won a string of high profile court victories for NCR landowners over Taib's government in recent years. The firm has some 150 land rights cases pending in the courts.
Harrison was detained without trial under the infamous Internal Security Act (ISA) in 1997, while Abun was recently arrested, but not charged, while he was carrying CDs and leaflets to rural communities describing allegations of corruption against chief minister Abdul Taib Mahmud.
New land and forestry laws
Sarawak BN's stranglehold over the legislature has given Taib ample opportunity to bulldoze amendments to the Land Code and forestry laws through the state legislature, over the three long decades of Taibocracy.
A flurry of amended laws allowed Taib's administration to take over NCR land with casual contempt for indigenous people's rights to land under adat or customary law, as recognised by the 1958 Land Code and the federal constitution.
A forestry law passed in 1987 declared it a crime even to stand anywhere near a logging blockade, after dozens of barricades sprang up around Baram, fuelling international criticism of deforestation. The natives standing peacefully at the blockades were reported to have been beaten by police and loggers, and attacked with tear-gas, but the BN-dominated state assembly remained silent on the human rights issue.
When native communities succeeded in mapping their own land, winning NCR recognition from the courts, Taib's government responded by passing a law prohibiting natives from making such maps for use in lawsuits.
“Consequently, the blessed cultural diversity of the nation would eventually be lost as a result of the denial of indigenous people's rights,” argued seven Sarawakian land rights organisations in a joint communique in Sarawak news site Rengah in May 2000, after yet another Land Code amendment further restricted the means of identifying NCR land.
This amendment in 2000, like many before it, had been rushed into the statute books with scant time for debate. There were only three DAP state assembly representatives in this sitting. The legislature was little more than a gilded rubberstamp for Taib's declarations.
'Might makes right' in legislature
The surprising opposition victories in 2006 increased the bloc of DAP and PKR state assembly representatives to seven out of 71. But the DAP and PKR still had their protests drowned out by the overwhelming majority of BN voices. The BN majority imposed their version of 'might makes right'.
The much-derided state assembly speaker, Asfia Awang Nassar, a loyal servant of Taib, suspended several opposition representatives for speaking out against Taib during recent assembly sessions, for up to a year. The retiring speaker, recently dropped from BN's latest line-up of candidates, even made history by deleting Pakatan speeches from the Hansard.
If he and See are elected, they may be debating land and forestry legislation with Len Talif Salleh, who resigned from his position as Sarawak Forestry director to contest in Belawai. Len would certainly be an unlikely champion of the rural poor. He is a seasoned apologist for wealthy logging companies throughout the state.
Len gained international notoriety by publicly expressing doubt that Penan girls had been raped by loggers (despite a women's ministry task force conclusion that the sex crimes had taken place).
He attacked the national auditor-general for calling Sarawak's forestry unsustainable in its report in 2008, saying the auditor-general's office lacked technical expertise. He also denied, famously, that last October's disastrous Rejang logjam had been caused by uncontrolled logging, claiming instead that it had been caused by rain.
“Democracy must be more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner,” wrote American political author James Bovard.
On election night on April 16, we will know whether predators dominate the Sarawak state assembly, or whether a two-party system will gain a foothold.

As you know, free and fair election in Malaysia and in particular, in Sarawak is a pipe dream. First partly because of gerrymandering, the weightage to rural votes especially in Sarawak is hugely higher than those in the urban. Also, while easy for BN (Barisan Neraka) is easy because huge resources are available, and many suspect that includes Government resources, for campaigning in the interior. And many suspect too that vote buying is rampant there.
I like many others really hope that Malaysia will have meaningful reforms and changes for Malaysia and that can only come about if BN (Barisan Nasional or better nicknamed Barisan Neraka) is voted out of power whether for only 1 term or many terms or forever we know not. As such, I have no hesitation in donating to Sarawak4change.com/.
A friend and former collegue is now helping in the campaigning in Sarawak using his own funds. He has however appealed for donations which he can use to distribute to those others in Sarawak who/which need funds urgently and since I know him I myself have donated to him and trust him to distribute it wisely via internal transfer to his Maybank account

I shall be making my third trip into Sarawak politics on 8th Apl. My first trip was to Batang Ai (where we lost the state assembly seat), and the second was to Sibu (where we won the Parliament seat). I am reattaching some of the photos taken at those 2 places just to share.
This third trip to participate in the campaign is, to me, the mother of all Sarawak elections. Lets not talk about taking over the state government as all calculations and statistics indicate that its a 89o uphill task, though indeed we remain hopeful. What is going to be more pivotal and far reaching is causing a dent in the juggernaut government of the BN. This election is the people’s best chance to cause a dent in Taib Mahmud’s ironclad grip.
Some analysts have forecast that winning 33 seats is possible; however I regard this as overly optimistic. Andy Williams in singing the Impossible Dream, casts his doubts. Ideally a target of 24 seats would see BN losing its 2/3 majority, but even this is not in the crystal ball of those who are more familiar with the Sarawakian psyche. To me, winning any number of additional seats (the opposition now holds only 8 seats) – but must be substantial – would send alarm bells to BN vis-a-vis the forthcoming pan Malaysian general election, ie PRU13.
The argument is that grabbing the DUN seats will have a crumbling effect on the Parliamentary constituencies (held by BN) in which these DUN seats are situated. Sarawak has 31 MPs of which only 2 are from the opposition. The game plan is to destroy BN’s fixed-deposit Parliamentary seats in that state, plus also, Sabah.
Both Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians share a common vision and desire – to bring down the corrupt and unjust BN government.
On my trip to Sarawak I would like to raise some money to help the opposition fight BN’s 3M – money, media and machinery. I appeal to you, on behalf of the people of Malaysia, and in particular the rakyat of Sarawak, to donate generously. Any amount will be appreciated. As you know, free and fair election in Malaysia and in particular, in Sarawak is a pipe dream. First partly because of gerrymandering, the weightage to rural votes especially in Sarawak is hugely higher than those in the urban. Also, while easy for BN (Barisan Neraka) is easy because huge resources are available, and many suspect that includes Government resources, for campaigning in the interior. And many suspect too that vote buying is rampant there.
I like many others really hope that Malaysia will have meaningful reforms and changes for Malaysia and that can only come about if BN (Barisan Nasional or better nicknamed Barisan Neraka) is voted out of power whether for only 1 term or many terms or forever we know not. As such, I have no hesitation in donating to Sarawak4change.com/.
A friend and former collegue is now helping in the campaigning in Sarawak using his own funds. He has however appealed for donations which he can use to distribute to those others in Sarawak who/which need funds urgently and since I know him I myself have donated to him and trust him to distribute it wisely via internal transfer to his Maybank account

MACC: Can investigative reports be amended for consistencies?
In the Teoh Beng Hock RCI (Royal Commission of Inquiry), MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) senior assistant superintendent Mohd Nazri Ibrahim admited rewriting a report to match his fellow colleague so that the 2 reports matches.
The big question is the credibility of an investigative report which is altered. It causes people to question if what is in the report.
All this shenanigans confirm that the high expectations that MACC will be able to live up to the reputation of Hong Kong's ICAC. MACC certainly does not deserve that.

Malaysians, please don't be blinded by money and freebies
Malaysiakini reported that the mysterious 1Malaysia "NGO" (doubtful) has now become more open in organizing activities and free meals in Sarawak (1M'sia NGO now in Kuching, sponsored by billionaire/
I hope Malaysians will not be blinded by freebies and free meals offered by this 1Malaysia NGO or money offered for their votes but vote according to what is in the best interest of Malaysia and that from what has transpired so far is definitely not putting the UMNO/BN complex back into power for they have really wrecked havoc upon Malaysia.
What is a couple of ringgit or freebies or free meals compared with the future of Malaysia? These will last only a short time and then will be gone but the future of Malaysia will be with you throughout your living span and will not only affect you but also your loved ones. Please Sarawakians, vote wisely.

Anwar sex tape - real or doctored? His Facebook posting
Kim Quek's detective work to investigate whether "Anwar" sex tape is a genuine portrayal of Anwar's extra-marital activity or not at Malaysiakini: Datuk T's sex video - Anwar was on Facebook
That "Anwar Ibrahim" sex tape was supposed to be recorded from 10.23pm to a0.45pm. So in order to find out whether it really was Anwar in that tape, we just need to look at his Facebook posting activities around that period.
According to Kim Kuek's investigation, Anwar had made Facebook posting at 10.40pm, 10.49pm, 10.50pm, and further another 7 more postings up till 11.28pm. So this indicates Anwar could not have been in that hotel room having sex with that female prostitute with a man watching.
Further that love-making part lasted 17 minutes while the tape duration was 22 minutes leaving only 5 minutes for the other activities featured in the tape:
1. "Anwar look-alike" (now called Mr X because of doubts created) walked into room with a male who gave instructions to a prostitute.

4. Mr. X wiped his lower body parts

RCI: Difference VK Lingam & “Anwar” cases
Kee Thuan Chye explained why a RCI (Royal Commission of Inquiry for the notorious VK Lingham’s “Correct Correct Correct” video exposure and the “Anwar Ibrahim” (inverted comma because a tape implicating “judge fixing” is involved and this is of upmost national importance demanding inquiry to know of its truth or otherwise as the nation cannot afford a judiciary which may not be independent but can be influenced. Would anyone desiring true justice wants to be judged by a judge who may have loyalty to some individual or party? No it is of upmost importance to have an independent judiciary for true justice.

COMMENT So, those who surmised that the sex video revealed by 'Datuk T' was a political ploy have been proven right. The people behind it - three of them - have confessed to it.
They were forced to reveal themselves because PKR's MP Johari Abdul had earlier spilled the beans on them. It all unravelled like a cheap soap opera.
Former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik, businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Shuib Lazim, treasurer-general of Perkasa, have come out to say they are 'Datuk T'. And they have the cheek to call for a royal commission of inquiry into the sex video. 
After their intended target, Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, had lodged a police report, the inspector-general of police, Ismail Omar, announced that the case would be investigated under Section 292.
That being so, the police should now logically arrest all three for possession and distribution of pornographic material and have them charged in court. They should have moved in right after the trio gave their press conference to reveal themselves.
If the trio were the authors of the statement given out to the media calling on the politician (said to be in the video) and his wife to quit politics, they should also be charged for blackmail. 
If so, Hishammuddin should observe the rule of law. He should not protect these people because they are Umno members or pro-Umno. This is where the public can judge how sincere the government really is.
If the trio go scot-free, it will be a sure sign that the government practises double standards.
The trio's call for a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into the sex video is unwarrantable. Why should there be one? In the case of VK Lingam in 2007, there was ample cause for an RCI - the issue of the fixing of judges was of immense public concern as it affected one of our country's institutions.
Where is the public concern for a case involving a man, even though he may be a public figure, visiting a prostitute? How does that affect the public? It's his own private concern, and the public is no worse for it.
In calling for an RCI, the trio appear to be trying to distract us from the offence they have actually committed. In fact, if they were also the ones who masterminded the videotaping, it would mean they are far more immoral than anyone who merely visits a prostitute. They would have no moral right to cast stones at others.
Their actions would have to be seen to be nothing less than repulsive. Even inhuman. For what kind of human being would do something as despicable as this to destroy another human being?
A larger force at work?
But for now, they have not said they were behind the videotaping. They maintain that Shazryl discovered the four cameras and recorder in the hotel room where the sexual liaison took place when he was asked by the politician to go back there and retrieve his Omega watch.
If that is so, who set up the cameras and recorder? Who wanted to catch the politician in the act? And why? There might be a larger force at work here. Finding out who or what it is would be finding the key to the mystery that surrounds the whole drama. 
He admits he was also in the tape but refuses to say why he was at the hotel where the sexual liaison took place. Does this mean he was caught on tape unknowingly or was he in on the taping as well? From his saying that he had felt "used by Anwar for far too long", could it imply that he wanted to get back at the man by setting the whole thing up?
The association with Rahim is most intriguing. He was the Malacca chief minister who had to resign in 1994 over allegations of his sexual relations with an underaged girl.
At yesterday's press conference, he indicated he had a score to settle with Anwar by accusing the latter of lying to him. He urged Anwar to take responsibility for his actions by stepping down, like he himself did in 1994.
Did Shazryl go to Rahim after discovering the video, or was Rahim also in it from the beginning? Is all this part of a plot to exact revenge?
Onus now is on the police 
He says they also offered to take him to meet Prime Minister and Umno president Najib Razak, and asked him to bring more Pakatan Rakyat MPs to see the video. He inferred that the trio wanted to also turn them against Anwar.
If all this is true, we are seeing yet another instance of gutter politics being practised. The sort that is as dirty as that perpetrated in the Perak coup of 2008.
As it has turned out, the soap opera has apparently not unfolded as it was scripted, and this whole ugly and sordid drama could actually hurt Umno and BN. Even if Rahim and gang were acting on their own, we have now managed to see further evidence of what Umno (and Perkasa) people can resort to.
Besides, we still don't know who actually masterminded the videotaping. There could be deeper and more sinister implications. There could even be a larger conspiracy. This is a mystery the police must solve.
But first, the police must also do what's right. Already, the public has lost much faith in them. If they don't act against the trio in accordance with the law now, they will be seen to be mere puppets of the BN.

It is impossible to know what the hundreds of thousands of Malays truly want in the way of political reform. Most are reticent about presenting their real views. Others cannot articulate what they want without being emotional or illogical.
After being brainwashed by the likes of former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad (right) and other extremists, most Malays have no clue what constitutes a real democracy.
All they know is that they do not want to lose their exalted position.
Malays do not have the luxury of their own Tahrir Square and all that the Egyptian revolution represents.
When Mahathir warned the Malays that they would "lose their power" if Pakatan Rakyat were to come to power, he also labeled Pakatan leaders a bunch of self-serving, racist politicians.
The Malays were the target of Umno brainwashing. For the past 53 years, Umno frightened these Malays and then demoralised them.
They told the Malays that to vote Pakatan meant Malaysia would be "sold to the highest bidder". In the opinion of the Ketuanan Melayu brigade, Malaysia would be sold to the Chinese.
Mahathir told the Malays that the nation should be rightfully called Tanah Melayu, that the Malay is "tuan" and that the constitution accords Malays "special rights and privileges".
It is all about power. By exercising control over the Malay mind, the power is Umno's.
It doesn't matter if the message is from Mahathir, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin, the Home Minister Hishamuddin Hussein or Ibrahim Ali (left) of Perkasa.
Blinkered minds
Malays are kept in a hopeless and continually pessimistic state. The ministers give the Malay populace a low quality education but they send their own children overseas to be educated.
The policy of placing the Malay language at the forefront of education in the 1970s was ostensibly designed to unite the peoples of Malaysia, but also to control the access to thought and information of the Malay.
By placing limits to learning another language well, the government effectively blinkered the mind of the Malay so that it would become insular and regressive. How many Malay books or publications challenge the intellect or expand the mind?
Local Malays are told about the evils of Western democracy. They are not taught to be critical or think creatively. They are kept in the Felda settlements or rural areas as vote banks. Government and blue-collar jobs are easily theirs.
The only reason Umno wants to perpetuate the NEP is to benefit themselves. Najib (left) may claim there is 1Malaysia, but in reality, there are 2Malays - the Umnoputra Malay and the ordinary Malay who make up the rakyat.
How convenient then to attack the non-Malay as the root cause of the poverty and problems inflicting the majority of Malays.
Children of the Umno warlords may have access to superb education, but many of these children turned feral because this is what easy money from their parents corrupt lifestyle, does to them. Malay kids grow up to treat mat rempits as heroes or bully non-Malay children. This is the mindset moulded by Mahathir
The Umnoputra adult goes drinking either in the KL clubs or abroad. He plays poker in his home with members of the judiciary or the police. He frequents casinos, for all night gambling sessions, when he is overseas.
At home, in Malaysia, he is the typical, hypocritical sanctimonious Malay/Muslim.
He toys around with women without getting into trouble whilst his lowly cousin, the ordinary Malay, is an easy target for the moral police. The ordinary Malay risks his life hiding from the khalwat squads by clinging onto ledges on high-rise buildings. If he is caught, he is fined, jailed and flogged.
In addition, can the ordinary Malay obtain licenses for big business? Can he buy expensive homes with big discounts? Will he have money to buy the shares that are allocated to Malays?
The answer to all the above is probably "no".
No real chance
How realistic is it for the ordinary Malay member of the rakyat to attempt to secure big projects worth several million ringgits?
Most of the small tenders (RM 500K-1 million or below) are transparent enough. However, there is no point in even trying for the "big ones", without political clout.
Last week, the advertising agency behind the award-winning "Malaysia, Truly Asia" tourism campaign charged that it withdrew a bid to renew its contract with the Tourism Ministry after being asked for bribes in exchange for the deal.
That is a serious allegation and sadly it is a true reflection of what happens in government tenders.
Malay friends of mine have found so many abuses in the tender system that they too, shun government contracts. Bribes are openly sought especially for the tenders worth millions of ringgits.
There is no point trying for tenders up to RM1 million as the people who will get them have already been selected. The ministry goes through the pretence of calling a meeting to 'discuss' tender requirements. It is all just a sham.
For tenders worth under RM10,000, a donation of a few thousand ringgits, to the ministry's "sports" body is often a requirement.
Recently, a friend who successfully won a bid to supply goods (worth up to RM80,000) to a ministry, was asked to discuss the finer details over lunch and was instructed to meet at a restaurant in KL. My colleague and his assistant ordered the set lunch at RM20 each.
The three people from the ministry ordered the most expensive items on the menu which cost RM250 each. The bill for a "supposed" work-lunch was RM800. And there was no discussion.
Perhaps this is where the junior officials cut their corrupt teeth before they progress to the bigger contracts where they fleece unsuspecting companies for bigger and more expensive items, and not just a lobster thermidor lunch.
Is this what Najib and Mahathir are proud of - a corruption of the Malay race where there are no morals, no pride and even less self-respect?

Real situation re Penang free Wifi
Malaysian MSM (main stream mass media) are not reporting factually on the real situation regarding the provision of free Wifi to Pakatan Rakyat ruled areas and BN ( better described as Barisan Neraka) ruled area. Here is the true story by Malaysiakini:
Penang CM: Free WiFi even for BN constituencies
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng hit out at national news agency Bernama and local English daily New Straits Times for saying that the state government was excluding BN constituencies from free WiFi initiatives.
Lim said the state was not surprised that a paper such as New Straits Times continued to attack the state government for something it had not done but was in fact trying to correct.
"But for a national news agency like Bernama not to print the state's clarification that the free WiFi initiative is for all including those in BN parliamentary constituencies shows that general election is near and that Bernama should be known and BNnama," said Lim, in a statement today.
"The Pakatan Rakyat Penang government is for all Penangites including BN supporters," clarified Lim.
He was responding to news reports quoting Penang Telecommunications Task Force chairperson Jeff Ooi allegedly saying there was no point investing money in Kepala Batas, Tasik Gelugor and Nibong Tebal for now.
The report had whipped up a storm with several BN leaders condemning it as being "unfair", even "dangerous and childish".
Ooi, who is DAP's Jelutong MP, had reportedly said that if the state had the resources, it will provide the free service, however, the initiative is currently focussed on Pakatan-held constituencies.
"If the local people in the constituencies want WiFi, then they should vote for Pakatan, "Ooi was quoted as saying in The Star.
Good intentions twisted
Lim went on to lament that the state's good intentions to ensure free WiFi coverage for all has now been "distorted and twisted to an act of discrimination" by the Pakatan government against BN supporters.
He then clarified that the state wanted coverage throughout Penang, including BN constituencies like Kepala Batas and Tasik Gelugor when it launched its free WiFi initiative in 2009.
This initiative is an effort by the state to increase broadband penetration and digital intelligence both in the urban and rural areas to propel Penang forward as a knowledge-based economy, he said.
He added that the state managed to secure a private company Redtone, to provide free WiFi services without paying a single cent, where the latter promised to provide 750 free WiFi hotspots without charge by relying on advertising revenues to get back their investment and capital outlay.
He explained that the state had also facilitated Redtone by exempting them from certain rules in installing their WiFi devices, where 750 free hotspots were recently fully installed this year on both Penang and the mainland.
"However the state was concerned that there were certain areas not covered by the free WiFi initiative such as the Bukit Gelugor, Nibong Tebal, Kepala Batas and Tasik Glugor parliamentary constituencies; both Bukit Gelugor and Nibong Tebal are Pakatan parliamentary seats," he said.
"How can the Pakatan state government be accused of discriminating against BN supporters when even Karpal Singh's parliamentary seat is not covered by Redtone's first free WiFi initiative?" he asked.
Lim further explained that commercial considerations compelled Redtone to place the 750 WiFi hotspots only in areas where there is commercial viability.
"As this is a private enterprise offered free by the company, the state government cannot compel Redtone to cover all areas in Penang," he said.
To correct the imbalance and ensure WiFi coverage for all, the state has carried out discussions to have a joint-venture with Redtone to install an additional 750 hotspots that will cover all areas in Penang, including those areas left out earlier.
"In other words the additional 750 WiFi hotspots will result in a total of 1,500 free WiFi hotspots in Penang when fully completed," disclosed Lim.

I left a comment about the website: This is a cloned website of another that
is seeking to expose government wrongdoing. It is rubbishing legitimate
criticism of the state that has been in power for 30 years and attempting to
blacken vocal critics.

Don't be fooled by the UMNO/BN Marketing Team this time
Someone by the name of Shanker used a parable to vividly illustrate the choices facing us Malaysians the next General Election by comparing our choices to that of a man who died and was met with an angel with a special offer - a day in heaven and hell before making a choice of how he wants to spend his eternity. His day in Hell was spent with old friends in a country club playing golf followed by an excellent steak and lobster dinner.
His day in Heaven in contrast was spent lounging around on clouds, playing the harp and singing and it was a nice time but nothing as compared with his day in Hell.
Thus when it comes to choosing, Hell was his choice without hesitation. But this time when he arrived in Hell, he found it this time to be a desolate and dark wasteland covered in garbage and filth, a far cry from that wonderful first day.
When he complained about the difference to the Devil, the Devil smiled and explained that on that first day, he had met with Hell's marketing team.
We Malaysians were fooled by UMNO/BN marketing team numerous times. Dr. Mahathir promised us "Bersih, Cekap dan Amanah" (Clean, Efficient and Trustworthy) but what we got was a languid civil service mired in corruption and wastage. They promised us "Bangsa Malaysia" (Malaysia Race) but what we got was PERKASA and more racialism plus divide and rule.
Abdullah Badawi offered to "work with him" and not "work for him" but what we got was a sleepy head Prime Minister.
They promised a MACC modeled after the world famous ICAC of Hong Kong but we got a dead witness while under MACC custody and no clear explanation of how that happened.

Amazing greeds of UMNO/BN related politicians
The alternative media have exposed so much of the corruptions and misuse of public funds that it just amazes me and make me wonder if they have ever though of life after death and whether there will be a Day of Judgement, but I pray to God to keep me from such wanton greed and hope that God do not find too many sins in me when I depart from this world.
It just amazes me why anybody would want so much of wealth for after a few millions or a few billions of US dollar or Malaysia ringgit, what good will the extra millions or billions do them? How much can they eat or what kind of lifestyles do they hanker after? Do they not think of their descendents and whether eventually they will be made to bear the shame when their corruptions and misdeeds are eventually revealed.
True or not, do go over to BMF names 49 Taib-linked companies worldwide – Kudos Malay-BN leaders! and decide for yourself the truth of what was revealed there about the numerous Sarawak Chief Minister (White Hair Rajah) linked companies worldwide or whether their undertaking to reveal not only that but also the wealth of UMNO and I maybe BN linked personalities.
In the meantime, just take all I mentioned here as unconfirmed rumours. Good night.

How to detect 2 way mirror for ladies
Below an email forward alerting ladies about 2 way mirrors and how to detect them by simply placing a fingertip at the mirror surface and checking if there is a gap between the fingertip and its image or not. If there is a gap, then it is a genuine mirror and if there is none, then it is a 2 way mirror and ladies should beware. How can you tell when you are in a room, restroom,
motel etc. with a mirror or a 2-way glass?
Here's how: I thought it was quite interesting! And I
know in about 30 seconds you're going to do what I did
and find the nearest mirror.
Do you know how to determine if a mirror is 2-way or
not? A policewoman who travels all over the US and
gives seminars and techniques for businesswomen passed
this on.
When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms,
changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure
that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall
is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e.,
they can see you, but you can't see them)? There have
been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in
female changing rooms . It is very difficult to
positively identify the surface by looking at it.
So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty
what type of mirror we are looking at?
Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your
fingernail against the reflective surface and if there
is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the
nail, then it is GENUINE mirror. However, if your
fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail,
then BEWARE! IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!
"No Space, Leave the Place" So remember, every time
you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't
cost you anything.
REMEMBER. No Space, Leave the Place:
Ladies: Share this with your girlfriends, sisters,
daughters, etc.
Men: Share this with your wives, daughters,

Auditor General confirms GLCs waste enormous amount of money
Malaysian already knows that the GLCs (Government Linked Corporations) is one giant source of leakages of funds and that the UMNO/BN regime has absolutely no political will to plug those leaks as every year, the Auditor General comes up with a report of wastages that smells of corruption but nothing is done.

Hundreds of government-linked companies (GLCs) have been established in Malaysia, but their performances have been mediocre.
So declared Auditor-General Ambrin Buang, who added, "sometimes, I question if they (these companies) are even relevant in the 20th century". 
"It is this sphere of government that is very loose, where people are awarded for not doing anything," he told the audience of about 80 people, made up mostly of academicians.
Mismanagement in GLCs have featured prominently in the many reports of the auditor-general. In 2009, for example, the report to Parliament highlighted RM1.45 billion in losses incurred by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd.
In 2005, his office ticked off the Treasury for guaranteeing loans amounting to RM47.5 billion for GLCs without sufficient supervision on how the money is to be repaid. Stop rewarding the crooks
However, Ambrin said today that it is "not fair" to say the government wasn't doing much to curb excessive spending, particularly in GLCs, as the cabinet had instructed that all those responsible be brought to task.
"But action by the heads of department has been lacking. (They) condone or kesian (feel pity) because they are retiring, etc. That must change," he said.
"We have one federal government, 13 state governments and more than 100 local governments. We have too much government that is becoming ungovernable. There are many layers of power, overlapping half of the time," Megat Najmuddin said.
However, good public governance, the former Kelana Jaya assemblyperson said, could not take place without political governance.
"Funding for political parties is totally opaque and this is where the problem starts, it creates corruption... Our political system is built for corruption," he said.
Megat Najmuddin added that Malaysia's system of reward and punishment was "upside down, for we punish the good and reward the crooks".
"That is the general view, if you look at who gets a datukship or becomes a Tan Sri," he said.
Safeguards are weak
Agreeing with him, UiTM professor of law Shad Saleem Faruqi said corruption in Malaysia had become "institutionalised".
"The tender system, for example, is the mother of all corruption... The electoral system, too, limits the amount spent on individual candidates, but not that spent by the (political) party.
In a speech he made earlier, he noted that several instutitional safeguards of good governance in Malaysia were weak, including the judiciary, which he described as "having become part of the problem".
Federalism, which aimed at limiting power and areas of corruption, Shad Faruqi said was "not working very well" as Malaysia practised a "quasified system", as had been evident in the appointment of Selangor state secretary Mohd Khusrin Munawi without the menteri besar's consent.
"Surely, the chief executive (of the state) should have a say. That adheres to the spirit of federalism. There may be legality (in the appointment), but there is no legitimacy," he added.
